If you have a dsg, then getting 50mpg is very hard to do even with dpf delete. 1 buy a scangauge or similar scanner and get the temp reading directly from the ecu. 2 buy an inexpensive IR thermometer and take the engine temp at the upper rad hose when you suspect it is overheating. Remove the drain plug using 19mm socket or wrench. Remove t27 Torx and set aside the coolant heater if equiped (usually Canadian models) Unplug the after run coolant pump,pulling the gray tab backwards in the direction of the wires and pull straight out.
